(Click the image to download demo) What is Deepsea?: A horror exploration game played in the first-person perspective. Don't take my word for it, I've made a proof of concept demo for you to download and play. (The link's above.) Any questions or comments, I'll take them all. I hope my stay here will be a long one. I'm anxious to get into the community. Cheers.

I will assume you understand TIGSource is a place you go to get feedback rather than a place to find players or donors for a game. :/ So. Feedback. One problem you'll likely face is that there's a game by the name of Deep Sea already which, though you can't exactly download and play it, has gotten a great deal of press and will make your game dramatically harder to search for until you can overtake it. Which will be that much harder to do if you can't be searched for easily. To make matters worse, it's also in the "horror" genre. You may wish to use a more distinguishing title. I would also recommend putting more effort into your pitch video if you're doing a fundraiser -- you clearly made the pitch video as a blog update rather than for the indiegogo, which shows a sort of apathy. People I know prepare for months to do one of these things. I spent six hours editing the video for mine, and I still feel I didn't do it right at all.

It's a temporary title. Twice as much so, since I didn't know about that fact. And donations are 110% optional. If you wanna donate, then go ahead. If not, that's fine too. And that's not the pitch movie, but an update. I did something wrong on Indiegogo and I've set up the proper video. Though I'd like to, I don't have the resources for a fancy video and can pretty much just offer the game and my voice. OK, rocky start. I hope you won't behead me for it, tough. Really sorrt if I stepped on any toes. I'd recommend playing the demo, though, since that's what it's all about.

I actually got excited because I thought that that one was getting released to the public in some form. Not to say I had an immediately negative reaction, but it definitely threw me for a loop.

Again, terribly sorry. I was unaware.

Not to be rude, but I was hoping for a comment about the game itself.

Honestly, there's absolutely nothing that sells me on this game. It looks kind of like a very outdated low-tech bioshock.
My question is, what sets this apart from what big studios are doing? I mean, why should I buy something that looks like a low budget imitation? Huge advantage of being an indie game designer is that you get to put something out that creatively hits areas that professional publishers can't reach. If creatively, your game looks identical, and shoddier, then it won't do as well.
If there is anything that sets this apart, then please, make sure to advertise it on forefront. Cause, it's kind of a hard sell as is.

Don't know of many horror exploration games. Especially ones where you're submerged in water. Has unique mechanics such as air and the whole harpoon 1-shot reload system.
Don't know if you've actually tried it, but calling it like Bioshock seems odd just because it's underwater. (And there you're not actually in water that much)
But hey, opinions.

Well, I mean, there has to be more to being underwater. Just turning the light down, the fog up, tinting the world blue, and slowing down player motion shouldn't be enough.
I didn't know there was a playable demo, though, I was just judging from videos. Maybe I'll give it a spin sometime.

Well, actually you were accusing it of being like Bioshock and I shot that down. Really though, try the demo. It speaks louder than me and even if you don't like it, I'm not knocking anyone off. And underwater effects is one of the reasons I want Unity Pro. This is pretty much the limit with the free version. Looks interesting; Ill give it a try and report back with an edit. Thanks, mate. I really do enjoy the enthusiasm.
