I think this contest is a perfect opportunity to finally create a TIGForums account. My game will probably be about Streaking. You will play a nude person running into a football match, chased by security. It's a survival-type game, because your score will be determined by how long you manage to stay on the field. If I have time, I might add a hooligan-mode, where you have to beat up fans of the enemy team. This is what sports really is about, right? |

It makes more sense to keep it all hidden until a single moment where you will catch everyone's attention, suddenly revealing everything, for a better shock factor. |

Whoa, I didn't expect so much attention. Hope I can live up to your expectations... Unfortunately, I wasn't able to work on the project yet - college kind of got in the way. I think I should be able to start this week, though. Will post screenshots (probably containing nudity and violence  ) as the game progresses. Here is a more detailed explanation of what I have in mind: - The game will be in overhead or 3/4 perspective
- The setting is a soccer stadium.
- Arcade-style gameplay.
- You can get knocked out or catched very easily.
- Highscore-lists.
The two playmodes (hopefully) are: - 1st mode - you play as a streaker, naked and unarmed. You cannot attack, but run fast. Security will try to tackle and catch you, getting more aggressive over time. If you survive long enough, Police will come after you, carrying clubs, spray, tasers and finally guns (GTA-style progression). Your score will be determined by how long you stay on the field. Getting caught or knocked out will end the round and you get your score.
- 2nd mode - you play as a hooligan, drunk and violent. Your goal is to knock out as many fans of the opposing soccer-team as you can. You can use your fists or various improvised melee- and throwing-weapons (like bottles, wooden planks, flares, etc). Most victims will try to escape, some will fight back (beware of enemy hooligans). Of course security/police will come after you - more rigorous than in mode 1. Again, when you get caught or knocked out, the game is over. Score will be the number of your victims (bonus points for injuries caused).
Now, that sounds like a lot of work. I can't guarantee that everything of the above will make it into the game. You can give feedback on where you want me to set priorities (which mode do you like more?). Random note: I don't really want to make the game funny. Of course, running around nude in public has a humorous quality to it, but I won't emphasize it. The NPCs' reactions will be purely negative in order to make the game challenging. None of the crimes committed by the player will be justified. The game will always end with going to jail, hospital or the morgue. |

Implement mode 1 and make the character run at a constant speed, with minimal controls (e.g., 'z' jump, 'x' slide, 'c' special). gl!
