Okay, this is either a really good idea, or a really bad one. I can't tell yet.

The premise: Create a piece of music inspired by a random YouTube video. 'Inspired by' is to be interpreted loosely; The music can work as a soundtrack to the video, if you like, or you can take the video's theme and use that as the basis for your song. Perhaps you might just create a song that shares its title with the video. It's up to you!

Now, as YouTube doesn't appear to have a 'Random Video' feature, the best way I can think of to do this is to click on the Videos tab, and then select a category from the list on the left. Maybe switch to the 4th or 5th page of results for something a little more obscure, and pick something that catches your eye. Don't spend too much time deliberating. Alternatively, you could do a search for a random word, and pick something that comes up in the results. Feel free to post your 'inspiration video' beforehand, as a teaser, but it should at the least be posted alongside your piece of music.

As usual, no restrictions on style, length, tools/instruments used. Use whatever you're comfortable with. The deadline shall be Midnight GMT, Sunday the 12th of October, just under three weeks from now.

Bumping this, as the deadline is this Sunday! I haven't started my piece yet, as I've been working on other stuff (Really slowly), but I should hopefully get it finished on time (After all, it's only going to be about 30 seconds long, to match the video I posted above, so I think I can manage, for a change). Don't let me be the loser that started a challenge that no-one else entered!

Turns out I'm not going to be the loser who was the only person to enter the challenge he set; My entry isn't finished! I could post it anyway, but I'm tired of submitting half-finished crap to these challenges (See my previous two entries), and the level of interest has been a little underwhelming. I may finish it, but it needs a lot of work. Sorry guys!
