I hate level designing... So i made a procedural world system. occlusion culling is next on my list.

And I added foliage to the random map generator. I might reduce the opacity abit but this is the initial idea. Hope people like the direction i take.

Updated header section on ModDB http://www.moddb.com/games/diecrypter. And.... battled with a new AI Code for 3 hours.... it's hard and i am having small problems but i will add it eventually. Having nearly infinite game world proven to be more difficult than i imagined... I hope i tackle this problem this week!

Tech Screenshots: Multi Layer World System... Basicly player starts from the zero level and must progress to the megapolis level three. Megapolis as i plan to make, will feature 1 big procedural city/complex and your objective is to sneak there. i am planning to create a generator that will create multi floor skyscapers and you will be able to go anywhere you want.. well as long as you see it. Yo! So there was no updates for the past week, but there is a good reason why. You see i have been doing a new AI script for the game and i think it's going to be nice and a lot better than the old one. Some of the highlights! 1) AI has now a thing called intuition, if you are too close behind the enemy he might look behind and check it out. 2) Everything you do now in the game releases sonar pulses, this will cause enemies to detect you. This can also be used for your advantage. 3) Enemies have now dynamic cone of view and it changes based on the enemy's focus. The more enemy is focused the smaller cone of view.. but it is more accurate. 4) AI has now new Patrol mode logic and path finding logic, it's now more fluid and more natural when you try navigate their patrol routes. 5) Visuals have been upgraded for the bots. They are now more compact and have more mass. They also now have new animation effect when they get hit and when they explode

Game is now hosted on a local server when you press new game this enables us to do following: Cooperative gameplay is a feature that allows players to work together as teammates against AI opponents. Playing simultaneously allows players to assist one another in many ways: passing weapons or items, healing, providing covering fire in a firefight, and performing cooperative maneuvers such as boosting a teammate up and over obstacles. Also.. new main menu!

Please, remake the main menu. It's totally unreadable. You shouldn't use the spaces between letters like this. Especially not when there are multiple menu options on the same line (or at least that's how it looks).

I'm right when I say that the menu is against basic typography rules.
