Hi! i'm Binario and i want to share with you the Unity powered debut game of our studio Backstab Games: "The Escapist" a fast paced die-a-lot platformer that merges mouse and keyboard. Mixes all the best elements of the new wave of hardcore platformers with a unique mouse controlled bankshot mechanic.

You can try the demo from our site: http://www.backstabgames.com/

Here's the trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_IyK75tcUI

We have a Greenlight entry in case you want to give us a vote http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=104433880&searchtext=

Currently its only on PC (MAC & Linux versions will come in the future)

Cheers!

Does it have anything to do with Chabon's fictional character, The Escapist?

I watched the trailer, some of the art is nice, but I think the ubiquity and overuse of those skull blocks kind of ruins it.  IMO you shouldn't have huge clumps of them, it would look better if they were just walls with spikes surrounding them.

Also, some of the backgrounds were pretty bright and needed some toning down.

Thanks for the feedback, gonna test that spikes theory, someone at greenlight said the same about the tone in the backgrounds, we changed that but we did'nt re shoot the trailer.
