It's a bit laggy on my netbook, I still have issue with hanging on wall and overlapping them, the shakes are a bit too much for collectible, it would be better if the character lean a bit forward while walking, using superpower does not feel good and is super laggy on my computer. You might need to reconsider your collision code.

Hanging on a wall ? anyway i removed those kind of move now (it wasn't supposed to be there)

Lean a bit forward while walking , more incline forward ?

I updated a bit and tried to fix some issues
The lag is probably because the particles when the heroine moves
I removed some, tell me if it's better.

The shake for collectible will be removed (easy)
Superpower is not good ? laggy ?
It should be better if it's the issue
Please test it again.

Try to play it on firefox , it's way better on this too

edit also
press sometimes µ on your keyboard to make the console appears, you can tell me the FPS
To me when i play i generally get 40 fps , sometimes 50 fps
Sometimes fps drop , i dont exactly know why.

I'll modificate some stuff again

and yeah sometimes the game is laggy but the video records badly , the game was fine but the video is hard to follow.
I took three times to beat him lol.

I'll probably put him in medium difficulty.

I still have the same problem with teh gameplay, i also notice it's a bit slippery, I would say the level design is too cramped and also too complex for a first level. It does not build up correctly. Also if You die at the boss, it reset the stage but the ambient sound from the boss level is still there. Looks like I need all my dash when I got the boss and if I miss, there is nothing I can do but die ... not good.

Played the demo. Way too much text. Cut that down to a 1/3. Seriously.

I like the star thing. You turn into a star when you jump. Turning on platforms is cool. Way too much text....

Space bar for level reload? Really? Only up for jump? mmm.... I love the concept art though.

It's one of my games , i dont understand how you mistaken ?


Anyway

I'll work on a new mecanic of gameplay :
You can dash without getting the orbs
The orbs will became life items
Each time you dash your life goes down
Getting orbes will give more life back.

There will be only one jauge to check now
And you can dash and attack all the time you are alive.

Yeah star and light is my first major game

My first tutorial too
Okay it was bad , or not fun , i dont know.

I'll do a much better tutorial for malaika princess , i'll do my best.
Star and light have more things than it shows so i wanted to be sure people will get all of them.

Anyway that's it.

For malaika princess , yeah the ennemies are true weapons , but with a life core , it's kinda strange but i love the idea.
You can guess the life's ennemy by the rendering of the blood on that weapon
The weapon graphics are placeholder.

Famous justification for text overload. Teach through play.

Life core is a good idea. Weapons are dangerous, cores humanize them.

This update adds a new "Boss weapon" to fight
I made a lot of changes like the bar life wich allows you to dash also
When you use the dash, your life is removed , when you are hit , your life is removed
Orbs now give more life, it's very important for staying in the course!

The game have a new strategy feeling , you can dash as much you want but if your bar life is in the red , you'll die.
If you are close of death , if you hit an orb or an object special , you'll get more orb to catch !

I let you try and play around

For the new weapon "fast sword", just don't attack all the time , don't rush too much .

I'll continue with a third boss and after that i'll start the true graphics work.

The last part of hammer is a bit messy , i'll improve it later

Several changes were made !

Fourth boss added.
No real environment graphic started , i concentrate on coding and making all of that a game
When you groundpound attack you can create some life orb for your jauge , very useful ( abit easy now ?)
You can press A to invoke a giant fish missile but it's useless for now.

The fourth boss is the sword in the far left , it's the strongest weapon you gonna fight !(for now)
be careful on those attacks , the fourth boss have three forms , three weapons , three styles and presenting some special attacks for the two last forms

The special stage with the giant tree is to regain energy.
