Solcraft? Minestice? Immortal Solstice? Solstice Defense? Saturated Solstice (this one actually sounds cool due to alliteration).  Wink

But honestly, it's probably too late to change the title even if I wanted to. The game was already covered in a few places, has an entry on VNDB, people are waiting for it, and so on. Besides, so far nobody made the connection with the NES game aside from these forums, which are pretty specific after all.

If things go well, we should be able to open pre-orders within two weeks, along with a playable preview build. Here's more info.

Meanwhile, have another screenie:

Anyone wants to feedback the video teaser before it's officially out?

Here's the link: http://moacube.com/Temp/solstice.mp4

I went for the minimalist approach, with no feature lists or text. The goal is to hook people with mood and artwork alone, without giving away too much. It's a mystery game, after all. Thoughts?

Pre-orders are out, along with a chunky preview build. This also means

and a couple new screenies.

May, was it a rough ride. I hope it will be worth it. Cinders fans can be scary sometimes Wink.

I'm especially happy about The Mary Sue feature. Cinders review on that website sent more players our way than almost all of the mainstream gaming press combined.

Very pretty art! & the story sounds interesting Smiley

Caught a typo on the game info page on your site: "The preview build is definitely the biggest thing benefit of pre-ordering"

I was wondering, have you ever considered porting this game for smart tv apps? My father had start playing game on tv just because it was there ... Maybe a demo with a cliffhanger would be a viable business model and there isn't much quality competition it seems. The lowest common controller is a remote control, I don't believe VN like game need twitch control, and it make sense for a narrative device to have narrative game ...

To be honest, I never thought about it and have no idea how porting to TV would work. Both from purely technical perspective and things like how to market it, or do you need a publisher. For now, I'd rather focus on Mac/PC as it's something I know well. If people like it, we'll be doing mobile ports and can later look into other options as well. Thanks for the suggestion Smiley.

Time to squeeze the game through Greenlight before, you know, they close it on us Smiley.

Every vote or a bit of help with spreading the word is much appreciated.

Thanks Smiley. It seems to be going really well, though not as fast as Cinders did.

Yani traversing frozen wasteland in the new intro scene. Super-proud of the blizzard and wind effects Smiley.

And a bunch of news.
