 Made this game in four days for the Charity Game Jam, then started working more on it to release as a complete game. Escape a fiery death by climbing this tower for as long as you can. A simple randomly-generated vertical platformer with a retro feel. See for how long you can endure the everlasting tower. C to jump, X to perform a boost On KongregateOn Game JoltOn Clay.ioPro-tips:Hold the jump button to control the height of your jump; Use X to boost though long sections of obstacles for maximum distance; Only jump after landing on a platform. If you try to jump too soon you might trip!

Wow this is fantastic! Really fun, looks awesome and the audio is great. Highest score so far is 147m, not sure if that's terrible or not  Does the character start to run faster as you get further up?

Thanks man. 147m is good so far, getting over 100m is the first milestone You run always at the same speed pretty cool. worked on chrome, but not on my firefox. Got up to 920m.
What version is your firefox? I tested here on firefox 12 and it runs almost perfectly 920m is better than my highest score

well it runs, but I can't get into the level. Once I go through the menu/intro, it just goes black and all I hear is the music. I'm using version 17. updated to 18 and still does it.

Hm.. I tested on 17 and 18 and it worked just the same Weird...

1. You might want to turn down the volume when you show the Construct 2 logo, I got ear-raped when my sound was at normal volume.
2. The ascension move that you do often leaves you in very awkward spots and I often use it in a pinch only to find myself in an even more hazardous situation. The problem is often that it seems like you're going to make it to the next level, but then it drops you just short. Often right into the lava.

Thanks for the feedback As for number 2, I was considering making the boost last for as long as you hold the button, and it just drains the boost meter while you do that

Version 0.91Changelog:- Made changes to the title screen and the HUD - Now you hold the Z button to boost. You have 36 boost points and each boost uses 3 - Fixed some collision bugs with pillars and springs - Level now generates based on a seed (not sure if this matters) - Added hardcore mode - Added some visual variation to the walls - Changed the big potion sprite, added some fx to the potions To-Do:- Add an option to return to main menu - Add a pause menu - Hardcore leaderboards - Improve music preloading

This is a really cool game. Highest I've gotten is 128. The game's got a good feel to it.
I think you should add in sound effects for jumping, wall-bouncing and landing to give the player a bit of extra feedback.
