Hey all,
Looking for anyone who specialises in 8-bit/low tech stuff - not necessarily for a project at this stage, but wanting to look through a few portfolios.
Plug away?

Love it! Think Go Copter is my favourite so far. Basically I'm looking to write a theatre piece inspired by video games, and wanting the soundtrack to be made up of 8 bit/16 bit stuff. Yet to write a word of the script but I find that listening to examples inspires me to write.

Small bump of this topic. I don't believe there are so little 8 bit specialists around here since about 50% of all indie games have chipmusic in them (rough esimate) Come on! Plug away as TS said. I'd love to hear some of your work as well :3

I'm no 8-bit specialist by far, but here's a little NES tune I made the other day, original Ricoh chip sounds with 5 channel restriction courtesy of Plogue Chipsounds. Cheers, Moritz

my favourite chips live at http://ubiktune.com. You might be able to find what you're after from someone there.

Hi Ctsingy
I've done some 8bit stuff - I'll PM you with a tune I made recently, it's not been released yet so can't post it publicly unfortunately.
Sounds like an interesting concept for a theatre project, I've done quite a bit of theatre work myself.

Hey, I've been involved with video game audio for 20 years now, and before that I was writing chiptunes on the Commodore Amiga computer. I just released an album featuring Commodore 64's and Amigas so if you like the sound then get in touch, http://marktdkknight.bandcamp.com/album/reawakening-3m

what sort of actual aesthetic are you going for other than "8-bit"? that might help you narrow down the largnumbe rof songs to look through
