We are looking for a vector artist for the creation of our new game project.
The chosen candidate will work with our team in the creation of all the visual content and he will take part of all the decisions made.
This offer is an offer of partnership with up to 50% of the profits depending on the time and expertise available for the production.

Well, we all get paid when the project is done, that much is pretty much certain.

The general rule around here is that profit-shares should go into unpaid or collaborations.

Do you have a contract with someone who is going to pay you a fixed (or fixed plus bonus) sum of money when the project is done?  That is the only way you can say "we all get paid".  Tons of games never sell a single copy, or only sell a handful.

It's a flash game.
I've been around that industry for years, and I can say with confidence that the chances for receiving payment is 99%, I'm not writing 100% to be on the safe side.
All of the high quality games are getting sponsored, the industry is at its peak.

I thought about posting it under "unpaid work", but it's not very true.
The work is not salary based but the project is profitable nonetheless.

If you have been around the industry for years and know your project is going to b successful one would think you would know a vector graphic artist or two by now?

More than one or two, all busy with other big projects at the moment.
There is already one artist aboard nonetheless.

A project of mine released two years ago, although the engine is much older:

The new project's engine is far more complex and professional, in my opinion.

So if that chance happens to fall into the 1% category, then the artist is not paid. Lawyered.

You have to understand that people need more than your word that the game will succeed and they will get paid. Also you're starting to do that thing where you brag about filling the position that you are actually wanting to fill. It's like the childhood equivalent of "I don't need you anyway! I found somebody better! Neener neener!"

Not really lawyered... it's pretty much a 100% thing, wrote 99% just to be on the safe side.

Yes you do have to take my word for it, that is true and there's nothing I can do about it.
Where exactly was I bragging?

"There is already one artist aboard nonetheless."

As if to say our argument is invalid because you got an artist already. To me it comes off as bragging about your success in finding people using your method of recruitment.

"nonetheless" is the keyword here.

Also "pretty much" is not the same as 100% guaranteed.

Your argument is not invalid, I understand it.

It was phrased that way because it sounded like you doubted my integrity when I said I got years of experience in the industry.

Well I said what I had to say, I posted it in Unpaid 4 days ago so I don't see a reason to argue any further.
