I demand head-crabs(also what ever those things with those long white strings are in half-life). Plox  Beg

The graphics look amazing so far Smiley Really goes well with the retro-esque sci-fi shooter Tongue

My netbook started to struggle with all these additions so I decided to do some optimization, I've boosted my FPS from 35 to 60!

That means you have no excuse for not posting a video/animated gif anymore Tongue I tend to use LICEcap for short clips...

I actually used it to record a gif and it ended up 15 megabytes, but here's the shop!

It's kind of failish at the end where the mouse pop ups

Looks fantastic! I'm blown away by the fact that you re-started code in early February. Did I understand that correctly? That is some fast pace indeed.

Yes, I started from complete emptiness in Feb. 4th! Stefan already had some assets ready so I quickly started creating the engine

Well, I might be able to because I've done a little bit more optimization which resulted in me getting a whopping 56-58 FPS in shops (compared to 48-50 before) with the tips on this thread!

Yup, batching is your friend Smiley Try to batch your transformation together as well. It looks like you probably won't need to do further optimization though, BUT if you do it's well worth looking at VBO's (display lists could even suit your engine as much of it looks to be static).

@allen
I thought the "shock" part of the name would imply that Well, hello there!

@Lizardheim
It's not supposed to be cute! It's massive and scary Evil

I have an insane soft spot for low-res/low-poly shooters. This hits it quite nicely.

After playing system shock 1 and 2 repeatedly for a few days, I can indeed confirm that I am correct. This is cute.

Looks none the less awesome though. Can't have enough -shock games.
