i had a wireless mouse once, and it'd always fuck up right in the middle of important game happenings. wasn't even a problem with the battery. i threw it away. now i use a cheapish gaming mouse. the high dpi and the side buttons actually make a pretty big difference. in fpss, side buttons are pretty nice for melee / grenade, and in dotas, theyre good for items you have to reuse a lot (phase boots or w/e.)

high dpi mice are also good for multiple monitor setups / high resolution monitors, since you can up the cursor velocity without losing small movement accuracy. (move from one monitor to the other easily, while still clickin' pixels or whatever.)
