This is a remake of one of the first games I made (warning: lame graphics).

In this game your objective is to paint the most of the canvas with your color, using power ups to battle other players. It's a local 4 players battle and a campaing mode where you battle AI foes with different strategies.

I think that you should consider making artists like Jackson Pollack and Kandinsky unlockable characters!

It's based on a game I played when I was little, but I can't remember the name... you control you brush with the directionals and you paint the canvas with it, and you can pick up power ups to use against other players. It's a lot like mario kart really

I did play something like this as well, let me guess... it was Japanese?

I don't think so, although I remember some of the art being manga-ish

I was making this for OneGameAMonth for the month of february, but looks like I'll take longer with this one. I'm not good with just making small games

Also, I'm upgrading the graphics to pre-rendered 3D. I know we all love some 8-bit, but I want to try this out.

This is what I have so far, trying to learn how to work with this 3D shenanigans

Popping in to say you're thinking of Battle Painters: http://www.saitogames.com/battlepainters/index.htm

I enjoyed the original but always felt it was a bit limited (even as a kid) so I'd be interested to see what you do with it.

Aww yeaaaa-

That was a surprisingly fun multiplayer game, even if it was really simplistic. But I guess almost any game is better with multiple players on the same keyboard.

Still playing around with 3d to find the art style I want. I’m trying to get a clay feel, but I’m not sure what to do with all the glass and metal textures

Textures. What you see there is exactly how it's going to appear in the game
