You should give the health bar a wiggle animation! Everything else on the screen moves and is active; the health bar looks a bit out of place.

Blamo I like that idea but it's too little a detail to add considering how much time I'd need to spend to implement it... ALSO I put some music I made for the game on bandcamp: http://poisoncoin.bandcamp.com/album/bad-smell-soundtrack

I am not sure but I think that I really like the visuals (early games by Cactus were all like that, but sure enough you should go beyond visuals to make a good game), cant wait to play.

This looks pretty funky, could you share some more information? Are there leaderboards? Online or local? What about the scoring methods for the two modes? Is the randomly generated arcade mode endless or does it also stop at seven? Etc.

Hey game inquirer, there are separate high scores for arcade normal difficulty, arcade hard difficulty and adventure, local.
Scoring is based on what you collect and what enemies and boxes you kill, same for both modes. Arcade is endless / play till you die, hence the name.
There are also 7 unlockable characters, unlockable cheats, sound test and some unlockable items !!

Sounds cool!
Maybe an one-level demo would help sell it.
Or an arcade mode time-limited demo (make sure it can't be bypassed). Like, three minute runs.
With endless attract mode!

IMO I don't think a demo is necessary for anything that costs 2 cups of coffee Also the AUD is still pretty weak at the moment so there's a bonus
ps I saw your post about BS on your blog thing, cheers 4 that !

I haven't bought the BS yet, price is not a problem but seriously speaking it could be overpriced or it could be that there is really a need for demo to understand that this is a really coold game like it seems to be and not just something that seems... And here is a good elaboration on why you should never compare your software product with a coffee. https://medium.com/ios-android-and-a-new-genre-of-boring/8fe573d4da6b

Don't cheer much, it doesn't get many visitors (yet?). I also copy paste that stuff (the Greek translations) on a couple Greek gaming/PC forums, though it's hit or miss if they will get many views there also. I just do it as a hobby these days, though I did it professionally in the past. Things were good years ago on foreign publications (and my own niche mod focused sites I had built from scratch) but on my most recent attempt the Greek employers weren't at all interested in original stories or less than AAA games and only wanted me to translate Eurogamer's biggest news stories, with way too many demands for the little they offered, so I didn't stay long. Oh well. Anyway, back to your game, it smells!

I did think a lot about pricing and did compare it to other buyable indie games. For example Leon Sadler's The Unbreakable Chain costs $8 for just the game and $15 with the soundtrack. The game is about 10 minutes worth of gameplay and consists of about 5 or 6 short levels. Towerfall & Spelunky - $15 - very replayable, and therefore I think that's a fair price.
