Really great colors, getting sort of a lucasarts vibe from it!
The project's called teslagrad, we're gettng pretty close to finishing it after a couple years of work:)

internal res is meant to be flexible, so we basically use high res assets as much as possible and downscale where it`s not too noticeablee

Black is playing the classic "pacing king" defensive technique.

Very interesting. White has responded by going on the offensive with what appears to be a pawn-only strategy.

Black has sent out a knight. He seems to be ignoring the pawns — likely a scare tactic.

A bold move by white: the bishop has gotten straight up in the black king's face, and seems to be trying to demoralize him.

Oh dear, the black king has trampled the white bishop in the midst of his pacing.

Fascinating. It seems white is trying to suffocate the black team with a giant blanket of pawns. The question is, how long can black hold its breath?

Black continues to hold its ground.

White's queen is visibly confused by black's standstill tactic, and has wandered out into the battlefield in a daze!

And just like that, the knight takes notice and tramples her. We'll be right back to this thrilling strategic battle after these messages...

Made a few improvements, including fixing something that was screwing up detecting legal piece-taking moves. Not sure why black suddenly decides that the last shown move is checkmate and announces that it has no legal moves; king should be able to take the queen.

edit: D'oh, forgot to make it so king could move diagonally in addition to horizontally/vertically. How about that, the AI actually finished a game.

Okay, the most infuriating thing happening here is that changing the heap sort to order ascending instead of descending - thereby causing the AI to choose the worst possible move rather than the best - does not at all affect what moves are actually chosen.
