there are some obvious similarities. I'm planning some tweaks/additions to the basic combat mechanics to make it a bit more of its own animal, too.

thanks. Smiley love those games, and it's hard to deny the super metroid similarity. just look at it. but -- it's out of love... it's out of love.

I'll mention that in my kickstarter thread elsewhere on these forums I posted a few more gifs -- sorta large, so I didn't want to slow down this thread with their presence and drown everyone else out with their size. You're about to walk into about 15-20 megs of gifs in total, so beware.

Yo conker im sure youve been asked this by why isnt the cursor (the square on the ground) centered with the player? its drivin me nuts!

The player isn't on the grid like the tiles are, so i can't really line it up.

Still, can I recommend using transparency to have it fade in and out smoothly at least? Right now when you turn around it zips around like crazy...

It would potentially look a lot nicer if the charactere were "painting" a row of soft, fading frames around him when turning around.
