Devlogs from the very beginning are the best. Looks rough as hell now but that just means a bigger payoff later. Well, hello there!

Yeah. There is no gameplay yet, but it was really important for me to finish the editor first to make that process faster. We also needed to figure out narrative structure and a bit of world design, for Jon and I, I tihnk it helps to have a bit of a feel for the world and mechanics we are designing....


Anyways, "starting the damn game" this weekend eheheh

added some minor things. like door transitioning. fixed some editor bugs and added entity adding. jon and I planned intro stuff more, so now we can start working on that I think. well, im excited ~~

oh, did some stuff with parallax layers, but that wasnt too hard. and by added entity adding i meant entity editing.

I also put in jank save points.

you can tell i'm havnig trouble picking a sound palette...i guess that will wort itself out once there is a tileset maybe?

I dont think this would necessarily even work. well not in the area i'm trying to write for, but itcould work later.


Today I did some stuff with wall jumping kind of. And made some code work better for implementing this set of animations that we'll need.

that song is liek the one i posted previously, but more fitting for a specific scene, i.e. more tied to the game whereas the previous was more generic i guess maybe dunno

programmed in player animations though the sprites themselves do not exist.


worked a bit on the structure of the intro.


hope to work on some other entities tomorrow.

maybe figure out saving the game sometime and other infrastructure stuff. dunno.
