Hah, that's pretty cool. Is that main sound a heavily-processed sample of some kind, or is it a synth instrument? The drums have probably been the hardest part throughout the process of making this soundtrack. It's difficult to get the samples to sound bassy enough while still keeping them sounding somewhat lo-fi. I'll probably take another run at the drum samples at some point. Thanks for the feedback! It's actually "the past" instrument from the earthbound soundfont.

Totally agree, I like the chippy intro, further in really reminded me of Honeyhive Galaxy. And 5/8 is always nice, too.

@swordofkings128 Thanks for the compliment! I hope to use that in something soon, someday. Here's another old chiptune song I made a while ago. It's really repetitive though, in my opinion. http://sajextryus.bandcamp.com/track/the-world-of-alternate-decisionsI'm hoping to get to work on some ambient tracks soon.

Hey y'all! I haven't visited the forum in a while due to life but I'm eager to get back into things. Here are a few short tunes I finished over the last week A mysterious/jungle ruins kinda vibe: https://soundcloud.com/scorevgm/kalimbaMy first techno track: https://soundcloud.com/scorevgm/hypothesis-209Rubato solo guitar melody: https://soundcloud.com/scorevgm/lullabyOne thing that I'm eager to know is how the mixes sound to you all. I compose the tracks while using headphones and then tweak the mix by listening to them through both the speakers on my Apple display and my MacBook Pro, trying to find a decent balance so that they sound fine on all three. I feel like the Apple products' speakers are terrible while my headphones are really nice, so there's a substantial gap in quality. Any kind of feedback would be much appreciated.

First of all, apologies to everyone for my long absences; even if I wasn't so caught up with schoolwork, I recently had a detour of kinds of music made: frankly, I feel my most intense horror-themed music is beginning to all sound the same, for one. That being said, I wrote this synthwave music. Unlike prior pieces, this took a few days to complete, whereas most are finished within an hour or two. If anyone can sense improvement in my writing because of the extra time, please let me know. https://soundcloud.com/sgtyayap404/city-nightsI realize this may not be the best game music, but I'm still interested in people's thoughts.

Hey guys, my name is Jaccob McKay and I'm a composer from Melbourne, Australia I study "Interactive composition" at the Victorian College of the Arts and I'm really interested in music for games and film. You can check out some of my work on http://soundcloud.com/jaccobmckayRight now I'm getting into more electronic music similar to that in the Tron: Legacy soundtrack by Daft Punk but I can write music in any style. Paid jobs are good but if it's a cool project then working for free isn't a problem.

I work mostly with chiptune. My usual tool of choice is Famitracker (And thus, I mostly make NES music), though I do work with VGMMaker and ModPlug on occasion. My channel, and quite a bit of my music, is here: https://soundcloud.com/mega1992

Super dope! Some notes totally reminded me of Katamari. Can you link me to anything about the game?

There was an old version called paper physics which you can play here (I think). There's not a devlog for the new version though. I don't think there's much about it anywhere! I've played through the whole thing and it's got sum fun-ass puzzles :~)

I second that it gives that certain katamari vibe. very enjoyable ! Here's two things I did more recently. Derelict Space I wanted to achieve a sort of desolated floating in space feeling. Not meant for any game. Blast Off! it loops seamlessly, and is supposed to be for a scifi arena shmup that is currently in limbo due to circumstances. and Soundcloud would always throw an error at me, that's why it's from my DB...
