I decided somewhat recently to revisit a track I made about a year ago to remake and re-arrange it from scratch (partially because the original file departed along with a hard drive). I think it worked out pretty great (and it also makes me feel better about how awful I think the original sounds now). The new solo section is my personal favorite addition.  Cool

Finally got around to more soundtrack-style music, even if a cover version.

That lead synth is sooooooo juicy MMMMMM! Reminds me of some of the music from F-ZERO GX. Nice! Also been looking for more 80s sounding music for a playlist that I made to listen to while working on a particular comic book.

I have no recollection if I posted this here yet, but I did a sort of retro-game style remix using sound clips samples from some SNES and PS1 games. The style of mix is meant for break dancers (bboys/bgirls).

two WIPs from this week

"river_in_4-001"
http://tindeck.com/listen/qowi

This is the song from an area in Even the Ocean (the area in this case is a power plant located within a River in a autumn-time midwestern prairie farming town. the area has more jumping-oriented gameplay. I like the mood, here, to counter the stress of the plot at the point as well as the stress of the gameplay). It's based in part , sound wise/ note wise, off of  the song that plays outside the power plant in this area, which is from about 6 months ago here:

http://tindeck.com/listen/iyjd

I'm pretty happy with how it's coming along (the repeated 'bassline' definitely needs to be more subtle at parts and i need more ornamentation/melodic parts to balance out the loudness of the pads at some points) , but I guess if anyone has ideas for ornamentation or ambience suggestions i'd be happy to hear them....or chordal progression

-------------

"playground_space2"
http://tindeck.com/listen/zhwf

listening to too much chrono cross and realizing that there's literally only one spot in ETO where something RPG town like would fit (and it's a small spot... ) - its a playground where kids from a lower income area gather to play

As it stands the chord background is too boring and repetitive ...i want to add some variation to that and mix the chord-playing instrument with some other instruments to make things blend a bit more...for more of an ambiguosly-positive mood to it...theory is hard..

maybe i'll scrap parts of it as is and keep the sound palette, idk

Another game music remix, just to prove my YouTube channel is still alive.

Rest assured, after this, I'll try to focus more on original pieces again.

Some music I did a few months ago for the Indie Game Maker Contest.  I had about a week to do seven tracks.  It was crazy but a lot of fun!

I rarely breach the 30 second mark when listening to a lot of the tracks posted but I listened to the whole 4:40 of that, really good stuff man!

Made this one a couple years ago.  Probably the last time I really got into composing something non-stop, but I'm hoping to get back into it.

Hey guys, my first album is out today, so I'd be very happy if some of you could check it out and tell me what you think
http://arnoldsavary.bandcamp.com/
It's a piano-based album, with piano solo pieces, ambient interludes and an orchestral finish.

Here's the cover:
