Hi,

My name is Erang and I make Fantasy Music & Dungeon Synth.
My music is very intimate, mostly inspired by books (the Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, the Silmarillion), old fantasy movies (Willow, Legend, Dark Crystal, etc.) and RPG games from my childhood (Dungeon Master, Zelda, Secret Of Mana, etc.).

My first albums were influenced by old video game soundtracks so you might be interested. For instance : https://erang.bandcamp.com/album/tome-iii

By the way, I've just released my last album which is a mix of Pagan and Celtic folk with Dungeon Synth : https://erang.bandcamp.com/album/we-are-the-past

I hope you'll appreciate this musical journey through the Kingdom of Erang !

Best Regards,

- Erang

Hello everybody!

I'm pretty new to this forum, though I've been following some discussions here on the last months. Now I am finally able to log in (I was having trouble on the past months)!
My name is Gustavo Coutinho, I'm a composer, musician and producer. I work with multimedia music creation, but most of my works so far were videogames.

I would really like you to check my Demo Reel:
https://soundcloud.com/abrasounds/gustavo-coutinho-demo-reel

Also, I have a project called Skyscapes that released its first album last year, called "We Fly as Leaves". You can check some of the songs here:
https://soundcloud.com/skyscapes/sets/we-fly-as-leaves

Any feedback is very welcome. Hope to have some great conversations here!

Cheers

This was quite enjoyable! I really liked the pacing of the song since it really comes across as a once-forgotten wasteland. I do think the percussive section could have benefited from a bit more punch though. Aside from that, good stuff.

This is a Mario-esque orchestral jazz piece I made using some arguably standard VSTs. I'm still trying to find my style of expertise so I hope this doesn't come off as mediocre.
I hope you enjoy.

My reaction to that last link: ⌒Y⌒Y⌒( ・・)

I wouldn't say it's Mario-esque but it definitely fits in a platformer, so I guess the original point stands.

Inspired by Limasse Five's NaissanceE, this is my attempt to mimic the cavernous sounds of Deep Listening (which contributes a great deal to NaissanceE's soundtrack):

If you haven't played NaissanceE, go buy it, it's mind-blowing! Wink  And if you like the soundtrack, check out and support the artists who contributed (including the Deep Listening album above), there's a lot of amazing and underappreciated third-party music in that game.

I was bobbing my head to all of these.
These are some tasty jams you've got, bud.

Also: I listened to Still Life People. That one is probably your best. Super smooth!

Glad you enjoyed them. I checked out your channel and you've got a theme which is a WIP. Are you new to composing?

I generally try to compose something two or three times a week. Of course life gets in the way and I can't write as much as I'd like. Anyway here's some of my best stuff -

Hi! I'm new to TIGForum, so I'm not overly sure what I'm doing, but for my final uni project I made an album that was influenced by indie games! It was some of the most fun I've had making music and pushed me to really want to do this for a living.

So this link is to the album I made: https://soundcloud.com/andrew_johnnnn/sets/video-games-a-soundtrack

And I've also got a few other bits too: https://soundcloud.com/andrew_johnnnn

It'd be cool to talk to people and just learn stuff and share!

johanbrodd, the tracks which stood out the most to me are Ancient Saga, Eyes, ears & voice, Plain Sight Hiding. What do you use to compose your music?

Andrew_Johnnnn, you seem to exhibit something of a minimalist approach to your song craft. I like it, especially Dungeon and Continue...

Leomattei, I like Flying High and especially Acoustic break. The beginning of Heavy Metal is obviously inspired by Black Sabbath's Iron Man.

Thanks Michaels Music for you warm words! I use FL Studio for the most part, and I'm using Komplete 7, Sampletank, Omnisphere, and Nexus, as well as Damage on some songs. All software bought legit for my hard earned money. That's why this package will be sold on the GameMaker's asset marketplace.
