A work in progress still, clocking in at about 1:48. A forest-y kind of theme using gameboy instruments.

http://www.8bitcollective.com/music/Heinz91/Evolution+%28WIP%29/
It's kind of um... shall we say.. not that good.

I've been working on some other songs (of better quality)and hope to upload them to the 8BC soon.

wow this is prtty bad.

i've made turds that are easier to listen to than this infantile excuse for music.

Been getting hooked on this "New Retro Wave" 80s style beats, and kind of came up with these:

Thats some good stuff right there! If you want my opinion, I'll suggest that you try mixing things up with some deep guitar riffs, cheesy synths & crazy vocals if you really want more of that retro feel. Keep it up! Cool

Thanks! At some point I need to get myself a midi keyboard so I can have more range while making melodies. Currently all I have is the Maschine and 16 pads only goes so far. None the less, your suggestions are on point!

Your stuff is pretty good too. Have to say The First Phase (8-bit) really packs some heat!

Nice cinematic stuff. I feel like your tracks could be normalized though. 8-bit track is tight as well.

Hello,

This is my first time posting on this board. I'm an independent musician/composer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/producer looking for some work in the game world, so I figured this would be a good place to check out. Here's some of the stuff I've been working on:

Ambient/Electronic/Trip-Hop/Hip-Hop

Rock/Indie Rock

Let me know what you think! bkstag at g mail

Made something other than outright synthwave, for a change. Inspired mostly by the Wipeout games.

Hey Python! Didn't know you were on here. I only recently discovered this place Smiley for you 80s/new retro wave/synthwave lovers, we have Killstarr to the rescue:

Here...have some more music, orchestral-ish.  Something like that... for a ecchi visual novel. I have no shame...

That's a really beautiful and inspiring tune, good job!
What are the instruments / vsts you used at 1:05? I can head a harp, a distant piano, a celesta maybe, and violins obviously, am I missing anything?

We definitely need to look into starting a feedback thread for this stuff people are posting!

No idea what that is... This Sakura is some project that fell into my lap about a month ago.
