Alright, it's been a while, let's see...

Jordanchin - I'm impressed with your production technique. The mixes feel right. They're warm and comfortable to listen to; I like how in High Adventure, for example, space on the right side of the aural field is reserved for percussive elements like the cymbal and the piano/marimba-esque instrument. I wasn't sure why the right side felt a little empty, until these elements came along. Plus, it's always great to hear fingers sliding over the fretboard, as in Dungeon. Well done! :D (Also, Learning to Swim has a lovely Porcupine Treeish feel to it!)

M4uesviecr - Ah, that piece is lovely indeed. Subtle and calm! I'll be checking out some more of that soundtrack later tonight. In the meanwhile, have some more World of Flutecraft! Sometimes, on misty mornings, I wake with this piece in mind.

Pyramid Kid - Helicopter has a nice feel to it; a touch of mystery! It keeps one's attention but isn't too intrusive to the ears. Perhaps even more so with some more work on the mix!

SCgames - Cool! The soundtrack sounds retro-style JRPG indeed. :D Was the trumpet by chance the first instrument you started playing? I reckon quite some composers (myself included) approach music composition from a pianist's perspective. It'll be interesting to see a trumpeter's approach.

Glyph - Nice re-use of Summoning Grounds' bass line, good build-up towards the end!

PythonBlue - Oh yes, ambient! Haven is sweet. Do keep us updated on new additions to the album. :D Is the mod abandoned indeed?

Munchmunch - Chiptune music provides a great opportunity to test skills in melody and harmony; its basic sound leaves little room for error and is less forgiving for dissonance (or so I've found). So I like to see what melodies chiptune composers come up with. There are some interesting arpeggio's and chord progressions in your chiptune pieces; also, Building Mountains has some nice dynamic switches. Keep developing and you'll be making some pretty unique chiptune music at some point! :D If I might be so free, 'Water's bass line could be tuned down a little more; to my ears, it's a little too pervasive, even though it's been reduced in volume already.

ZackParrish - Yes yes yes. ((: This is majestic. How much time does it take you to write and produce a track like Remember When? I must admit I'm a little envious of your skill!

Koronello - Quick and catchy, as chiptune should be!

Pizzamakesgames - Indeed! Medusa Five was a bit too much for me, but the other Medusa pieces are quite nice; Medusa Two is my favourite. (:

Aamp - Cool; maybe some variation in the rhythm guitars could spice things up a little!

That particular track took about a total of 15 hours spread across 3 days. When I'm really into what I'm working on I can fly... other times it's just a casual walk...

Hi all,

I just joined the forum, and I'm looking forward to sharing music and getting/giving some feedback. Here's a sci fi sketch that I just finished https://soundcloud.com/dan-drebing-music/sci-fi-sketch and an orchestral sketch https://soundcloud.com/dan-drebing-music/adventure-theme

I'm looking for projects to work on and always striving to better my composition and production.

More music! Great to hear the music everybody's making. (((:

dbfs - Welcome to the forums! You shared some cool pieces there. The sci-fi track felt like it was going to a climax towards the middle, but didn't quite get there. Maybe you didn't mean to get to a climax. I think you might be able to get a dynamically interesting part going at 1:20 by giving the background pads a well deserved rest. Bringing them back up 5, 10 or even 15 seconds later might give the track some breath. Other than tahat, The synth arpeggios are cool, as are the background pads. The stringy synth seems a little out of tune (intended?), which I must admit I found somewhat uncomfortable to listen to. As for the adventure theme: adventurous indeed! A neat little piece, well done. :D As a general remark, perhaps consider giving your tracks actual names instead of generic descriptions. A simple word can enhance whatever imagery the music brings to the listener's mind. (: Make sure to check out this thread for a dedicated feedback thread (as I should've done earlier!).

Torchkas - Nice; groovy indeed! I might just join MereMonkey on the dance floor.

David - Cute little sounds, well done. :D And hey, those metal tracks on your Soundcloud are pretty cool, too!

Dweedes - You've been productive, that's a lot of tracks on one album! Some neat stuff on there.

@David: love these little sounds. Seems like they'd fit a Tamagotchi-like game perfectly.
@Dweedes: This is huge, wow. I like the variety.

Here's an experimental thing I made recently. I started off making a tranquil harp piece for a puzzle game but ended up playing around with weirder elements. I'd love some feedback.

I recorded and released this today.

https://hexode.bandcamp.com/track/meditations-iii

I might collect all my "Meditations" tracks into a compilation at some point, they're just basically standalone tracks that I write, record, and release all in one day (usually a tad quickly). Much more fun than the grind of spitting out album after album as I'm known to do.

Finally satisfied with the title theme for, well... been pushing details around for days until I couldn't hear a single note I wasn't a hundred percent ok with. It's great to be satisfied with something before it grows endless and drives you nuts.
