I've been working on some new music for a game, and it's a little... different, from what I usually do. Here's what I've got at the moment (I have more, but most of the others are very short).

Smiley One
Epileptic Two
Undecided Three
Lips Sealed Four

I suppose I could use some feedback.

I felt scared listening to most of them. They have this brooding, drone quality within them. I almost feel like I'm walking through doom, in a situation so scary, that music cannot define it's scariness, only these sounds can.

I like all three. I do not have any suggestions to improve them, however. You have done good yes. Good. Yes.

Some music, eh?  Well, I just finished this and I'm mighty proud of it.

It's Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band on four (five at one point) Game Boys.  Compare it to the original song and you may be surprised at how much it follows it.

Heylo folks, well I know i've posted stuff before but I wanted to inform you of an update to the demoreel on the front page of http://www.hyperduck.co.uk ! From the game 'TrashMan' we were given permission to upload some of the demo material, the main track up is the Trashman first boss fight. There are more boss fight tunes to come though Wink I'll say no more at this point.

Hope you enjoy. Quag Quag.

Sounds good. Not to say very good, a pumping blend of dirty little synth plucks over metal. Really like the guitar in this track, reminded of Alien Shooter 2's soundtrack (which is very enjoyable and does a similar magic for me).

I also enjoyed the Katajikin soundtrack. Sweet stuff you have there!

"Not to say very good"

Um, Thanks I guess! You sound like my lecturer in university lol. He'll compliment somebody, then slowly retract it until he's insulting him. Though you didn't go the full mile so I appreciate that Smiley Unless that was a compliment and I've misread it. Since it doesn't tie in with the rest of your comment. Confusing Sad

Sometimes simplicity is what a paying soundtrack needs, when there isn't a pay-cheque behind it, the freedom and curiosity can linger. Which is something you'll hear in the Katakijin work when it's finally released.

I can't sleep. That's why I did this little track here:

SHOOT IN MY HEAD SO I CAN FINALLY SLEEP FOREVER

Listen to it. 5 hours, endless loop. Now you know how I feel. It's the fourth time this month. Oh, I hate such days/nights.

I actually love this reminds me of wonder boy in monsterland, with added hi hat!

Really sounds great and if i listened to it for hours i think it would be come trippy lol the longer you listen the accent changes lol sometimes the hi hats are the 1 and sometimes its the kick or snare!

I really like it, snare has a nice ripping effect too!

Keep it up! Smiley

Here's a couple abstract and funky pieces - really just doughnuts. I worked with Tap, a producer from Raleigh (myspace.com/taptrepound) doing a couple of these.

http://willhostforfood.com/access.php?fileid=84147 This is an experiment in creating a 70's walking down the street feel. A very poppy sound.

http://willhostforfood.com/files4/8/1/3/8136095/fool.mp3 I love soulful singers. Chopping up records like this boils down to an experiment in psychoacoustics and psycholinguistics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychoacoustics

(http://preview.tinyurl.com/mfsglh - This is a better example of psychoacoustics. I thought he was saying 'I got fire', but it might be 'I got five'. (Tap's solo work)

http://willhostforfood.com/access.php?fileid=84157 This is an experiment in noise that I did. There's a lot going on in this track & I love the gongs.

http://willhostforfood.com/access.php?fileid=84158 This is a nice ambient-esque track. It reminds me of traveling through space.

http://willhostforfood.com/access.php?fileid=84159 Dracula meets kick drums and shakers. This was a collaboration with Ivan the Great, a producer from Detroit. myspace.com/ivandagreatlee

Just messing around.

http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/421763/song15.mp3

It's pretty long and really slow, and only uses 1 note at a time (+overuse of echoes)

I recently did (and am still doing) the music for PROTONAUT, a cool physics platformer that was just soft-launched (it's been announced in the Feedback section already too)

Link is here -->  http://protonaut.net

Also have it featured here among some more of my music, some better than others --> http://8bitcollective.com/music/casiopt1/Mikro+Planeti/  If you fancy to, leave me a comment!

Feedback is always appreciated.  Hope you enjoy both the music and the game!

I'm trying to learn to write music again. Here's a teeny WIP of something I'm trying to finish.
