Hey all !

My name is Whiteclaws ... and ... let's skip this non-sense and get right in the game
I'm here with my artist to make some games ... You can view his deviantart here !

Anyways , Suns3t or Project Suns3t is a puzzle platformer that has his signature mechanic that I can't talk about until a bit in production , But don't try and assasinate me , because if you do this thread would become assasinated Well, hello there! ... right ...  ok , I'll stop , just don't kill me Concerned...

Sorry folks , But don't worry , I'll get you some pictures as soon as I get a little deep in production ... To compensate that , I'm adding a link to a painting the artist made ... well I played through the prototype before you removed the link  Tongue

it was actually pretty fun, interesting puzzle concept - could make a good game if you think up some challenging/difficult puzzles.

Add mobs that fire projectiles at the player, that way they'l have to use a strategic way of using the mechanic. Plus it will give you an excuse for more variation in the art. (No spoilers on mechanic, its safe)

Day 1 :

I'm done with the level editor , and I'm half done with the main mechanic ... I'll upload an outdated prototype later ... Next Sunday maybe , School tommorow , won't be able to work on it too deeply Sad

The progress isn't big but enough to say it's progress ... finished the array scripting (almost) , now adding some ... ye know ... smooth movements , I'll ask my artist to make some character design s for you guys ... no screenies till now Sad , Promise you guys that when I finish the main mechanic , you'll be free to test the prototype !

PROGRESS

Ah , Lerp's a b***** ( banana ) and I finally got him working , it was a pain in the a** ( ape )

Oh damn ... Now I can start coding the basic player movement + interactions with blocks ...

And then , prototime !

As I always, I would like to know a little bit more about the "technology" you have choosen for your game. As you said, you are building your own editor for the puzzles. ( I'm currently having a look to Tiled, and it looks pretty good to have some basic level editing ). Are you also coding your own engine, or do you plan to use Game Maker or Unity ?

That's not fair, some "privileged people" could have had a look to the gameplay. Work hard, I want to see it soon!

I finally finished the basics

Now I got some basic stuff to finish before I can show anything ...
- Tweak the platformer physics
- Make the player's movements dependent on the blocks that move around him ( Blocks Push Player )
- Add some basic animation
- Change the game's resolution
And then , SHOWTIME !

Sorry , but the artist is occupied these days , So I can't show much
