 In the year 2000 an online friend named Omnizer0 and I met a peculiar person named Dereck in a Yahoo Group. Dereck was different; he had many quirks and nuances about him that stood out and caught the attention of Omnizer0 and myself. These quirks frequently became the topic of our conversations.
Dereck was an avid fan of the anime series Fist of the North Star and Famicom games, but other than that we didn't know much about him. Because Dereck was such a private person, his mystery intrigued us and we built up a character around him, giving him a face, a voice, and the last name of Boyer.
Fast-forward to the year 2001, when Dereck himself made contact with me via AOL Instant Messenger. The conversations were so characteristic of Dereck that I decided to save them all to share with Omnizer0. What I didn't know was that they would get progressively weirder to the point of being beyond anything either of us could have ever imagined.
Until now, the Dereck Boyer Saga has only been known to our closest friends, serving as a source for speculation and many inside jokes. In these videos I will attempt to share the surreal and wonderfully weird archive of my interactions with Dereck Boyer. I have 30 chat logs saved from my encounters with Dereck and 13 of them were recorded into audio 12~ years ago. I finally decided to put them in a more accessible form by editing them into YouTube videos with pictures and text to follow along with. Here are the first four conversations: Things get a LOT weirder with each conversation and the series' ending is probably the most mind-blowing part of it all. I'll work on putting the rest of the videos together and I'll keep you guys posted with updates in this thread.  |

Considering this is over 10 years old and I was in my early 20s, and pretty much right out of highschool, yeah... I don't make any claims to this being a "highly mature form of entertainment" or whatever you were expecting from it. But that said, I don't really see how I'm making fun of him, he was a weird dude and I simply recorded my experience with him.
Glad the rest of you guys are enjoying this, though. I'll upload more soon.
