thanks, but the word puzzle won't be part of the game. It's just me playing with the assets and my the rotunda font =)

Shame, I thought that ice->fierce trick might be part of an actual game mechanic. Still looking awesome, anyway!

a small excerpt of the title menu

I thaught I'll give a small update.
We have revamped our game logic. It's easier now, even for me non-programmer, to add things and scripts and action into the game. We configured it in Unity like this, that actions derive from the Object itself and we have a lot of little "scriptlets" for different actions (like, move to, give melody, wait for melody, ...) that we can assigne to the different objects in the game.

This weekend we'll sit down and assemble all the bits and assets I have created over the last month.

I gave myself 10 weeks to finish the visuals - like all the screens and areas. But Daniel will take his time getting the implanting done. Also we have to figure out how to make a save / load function.

Also, as of today, we have a musician / sounddesigner who will be happy to help us with the musicial ambient. This is great news!

All in all there are some things still to do:

 | the rest of the content
 | load & save function
 | music
 | assembling everything

I believe August is still a good guess, but it depends.
I'm very proud of the game - as it is my first project in gamedev and it's going pretty well right now. I hope it will be like I hope it to be - A short but good game.

That is one nice book opening animation.
However, you should set it to looping :-)
also, I suppose it's still WIP, otherwise I'd comment on the lack of texture on the book itself (looking a bit more worn) as well as the lack of "magicness" on the symbol, which should obviously glow or do other crazy things.  Smiley

right you, sir, are.  Gentleman

it is the melody journal, magicly displaying all the spells you've already learned.
we thaught hard about whether we want to give the player such an help in the form of a reminder, or if we wanted to let them handle it, by like making notes on a piece of paper. (like it was in loom)

a quick update!
the game is underway. there are a lot of loose ends, but I am content with the progress we're making. The game will be released for free in possibly 2, maybe 3, months. depends on how much polish I'll be ready to make.

Next week will come a big update. A trailer, a website. I'll assemble a presskit and write to as many sites as I can. I never done press work before, any tips? =) I'm pretty excited, but it's fun.
I hope everything will turn out how we imagined it and will meet our/my expectations.
Since it's our first game, my first game ever, I really hope it does.

So stay tuned, it's a question of mere weeks. thanks!

also, follow us on facebookCrazy

we've got a website, and a trailer.
things are going quite good right now.
the game has the proportions we wanted, and we just need to put it all together and work with our musician on the sound. We're pretty proud, i'm pretty proud to have drawn such a world.
It has been fun up until now.

I haven't given any updates lately and I'm sorry for that.
I'm intending to write a bit of a post mortem when the game is ready. Since it's my / ours first game ever, I would want to share my experience of entering gamedev and the scene.
