Definitely! I've been using 2d toolkit in a game I've been working on for the last few months. Really like it. Orthello looks good also, haven't tried it. Let me know how it turns out

I am in for the jam. Some of my non game development friends are tired of me talking about Ludum Dare and say they want to help. If the theme permits I will take a series of digital pictures of them against a green screen and turn them into game sprites. Perhaps involve them in level design too.

Haha, that's hilarious.  I might just do that if it wins.    But only if I don't have a good idea of my own.

Well, the theme will certainly encourage people to use placeholder graphics instead of proper ones, but hopefully people will find other ways to interpret the theme too!

Rather disappointed by the theme. Was hoping for Side Effects, personally. There are a few takes on the theme I've considered:

- Minimalism as in the actual post-war arts movement (versus the things typically classified "minimalist" in the game world)

- There are various "minimalis" species of moths

I'm trying to do something Go-esque (lofty ambitions, I know) where there are few rules that layer upon eachother in an interesting way. I've prototyped something with pennies, and it's pretty fun. Gonna try to go to a meetup tomorrow to test it with some people.

Just woke up. My only idea is about Steve Jobs who tortures his engineers/designers until the designs are minimal enough but probably not gonna do that

Have to see if I bother participating. Honestly I had hoped something else.
