It needs foot sounds. I like the overall look and animations. Needs a health bar. It's a little hard to shoot the things when they get into a hole, cause it requires you to go into the hole. (Which I suppose happens to all metroidvanias.) Overall, great demo, want to play. Quite slick.

I found it difficult to see the player and enemies against the background in the test version.  You probably want to make them stand out more.

Also ditto on the screen shaking overuse.

Looks and feels great. I didn't mind the screen shaking when getting hit by enemies but it felt crappy when i was just standing there and shooting a bunch.

Just tried this. Really nice art and movement feels right, but:

1. Have to agree with the screen shake criticisms. The effect is kinda excessive and also the "seesawing" nature of it made fights really confusing.

2. Seemingly randomly spreading shots are a source of frustration. If I was you I'd both reduce the spread and introduce an alternate weapon (or perhaps fire mode?) that's more precise.

This has a lot of potential though, keep it up!  Smiley

Yeah, i fixed the screen shaking a few days ago so in the next public build it'll be better.
I'm fiddling with the gun to make it feel better and there will be alot, alot of weapons.

I would like it if the enemies were a bit easier to hit without having to jump up and postition yourself the be aligned with them. The camera shake may be a bit much when being overwhelmed by enemies but for the most part it's a nice touch.
