I'm totally gettin' a Toonstruck vibe from this. I'm hoping I'll be better at this than I was at Toonstruck. I'm not very clever when it comes to solving obtuse pun-based puzzles in cartoon adventure games.

Kickstarters add a lot of outside pressure and it's a lot of work to keep them going and get them publicity and stuff. Obviously they're super useful sometimes but I've heard of projects getting killed off by the extra work and stress that kickstarter added (even after they'd won!).
I mean I wouldn't flat-out say no but I think we'd have to really really think hard about whether it was worth it!

That depends on the project, but I think the kickstarter money usually gets spent before the project dies. If you have a bit of a search around there are articles by devs who've done kickstarter and ended up spending a ton of time and money on administrative stuff related to the kickstarter to the point that it was getting in the way of development.
