OK, my mind has officially been blown today when I got to try out the Korg Kaossilator. This thing is win; I know nothing about making music and yet with this I can anyway! The guy in the video is a little douchy, but watch it anyway to get an idea of how it works. You wouldn't believe how easy/fun this piece of tech is to use; it blows Korg 10 DS right out of the water. http://www.korgkaossilator.com/I'm totally buying one once I'm back in Alberta (7% less tax baby! And for a $200 item that actually makes a difference.). We should all buy these and start having music compos; it would be so easy to enter!

Looks like a fun toy but I really don't see what would make it particularly useful as a tool for either composing or sound generation. I'd rather see something that's either cheaper and simpler or more full-featured (MIDI in/out, more complex arrangement options, etc)

Haha, wow, that's really awesome. The only thing I think I'd be missing would be effects separate from the synths, but it looks like it's diverse enough for it not to matter.
But as Kobel says, looks more like a fun toy than something I'd actually use.

That looks really nifty. Being untrained in all musics, I have no idea if there are serious problems with it, but it could be a lot of fun. Especially considering I'd have large bus trips to muck around with it on.
How much mulah? $200 US?

You know Korg DS10 has a programmable kaos pad right? I don't really see what's so amazing about this thing, except for the large selection of voices.
And yeh, as Kobel says if you're doing more serious things, you really want full MIDI control, and you might as well use a full featured Kaos pad.

I've been playing around with Korg 10 DS too, but I just don't find it nearly as fun. This thing looks OK on paper (or the internet), but you have to play with it to see why it's awesome. It's just really easy to use and have fun with, so, yeah.

Ich frage mich, ob KOMPRESSOR verwenden würde KORG KAOSSILATOR mit der TODESSYNTHESIZER. Du hast zu synthetisieren.

For Christmas one year I got for my brother from Kompressor, a set of 2 cd's with all his music, all his beats and all his samples. It was fantastic. Well except it was pretty much 2 burnt cd's with a markered on piece of printer paper, but pretty exciting none the less. We were really disappointed when he quit.

I know, Andreas K. is awesome. The first Kompressor song I ever heard was Midnight Rendezvous, and it made my brain explode. It's a real shame he's not doing music any more. He quit like a month after I first discovered his stuff Oh crap did I just derail this thread? Sorry architekt

No worries. It would be a lot easier if Renton would just drop by and derail it proper.

I bought a MicroKORG a couple months ago and love it. This looks pretty sweet too.

Just looked up the MicroKORG and yeah, it looks pretty cool too. Using it for game music I assume? (among other things of course).
