Huzzah! I thought I'd do a little something while I wait for the results of the TIGSource Music Challenge and decided to play around with my favourite track from my favourite game, Cave Story.

I'll probably put it up for download within the days to come, enjoy!

This is real good. Because I know the original so well I have two very minor nit picks:

1. A few of the 'trills' in the melody are missing in the remix.
2. Some of the notes at the end of phrases should be a little longer. Kinda throws me off.

That's all! I liked it, especially the take on the groove section at 1:50-7.

not a music guy but the sound effects at the beginning wreck the flow and sound like someone's just playing stuff from a cave story soundboard. would be cool if they were better integrated into the beat (?).

Thanks guys, the idea with the sound effects at the beginning sounding like someone is playing the game was actually intentional. I made it so it sounds like someone is actually playing the game and then the sfx slowly get in time with the music after the intro. Then again I did go kinda overboard, I might cut back on it a little next time! Smiley
