I definitely will need to re-edit most of the art work I do on this pc, its colors are terrible! my main monitor is a ips monitor so its got lovely colors :D

I have two monitors plugged in to my desktop. I photoshop on one and run the game on the other. I always forget about this and sometimes my textures look really different (main example is: subtle shading just isn't visible on some monitors as all the colours look the same). It's actually a really important issue that's easy to overlook.

I fucking hate making cliffs...Your new one looks much much better than the old one! Nice improvement... but The stairs perspective looks little bit weird...

yea same here, I think you should make each step the same width.
Otherwise you are just mixing perspectives. Better stick to one.

You should try putting bigger rocks on the top half of the cliff sprite and then smaller ones at the bottom.
Also, keep the top half brighter than the bottom half.
The differences in size and value should push the bigger, brighter rocks in front of the smaller darker ones.
maybe

I think the grass should overhang a little but with a darker shade if that makes sense

I also meant for the cliff as well, no grass on the stairs but if the grass on the cliff overhangs a bit then you'll be able to tell between the cliff and stairs

(above image)

I bet you're getting ready to murder some stairs right now. They're pretty tough, it's looking better although I'd reduce the size of the banister, when you have it large at the top and gradually make it smaller, it looks a little out of place.

Honestly your stairs still look kinda steep. Generic zelda-stairs feel should work, I think?

Why not just make them a little longer than the cliff is tall? So they stick out into the stand a little bit.

Currently the shadow looks weird.

starting little critters that run around on the island, for example crab on the beach, rabbits in the forest, etc. They can't hurt you and you cannot really interact with them much, they're just there to give the area more life.

Love the idea of little critters walking around Smiley

Also have you thought about not using stairs at all but just having a path go through? I think it could remove a lot of confusion for ya.
