Right, I know it's megalomaniac to multiple enter already, but I'm compelled to do it, okay?

Quote
179    Appearance of an ancient god in a lonely and archaic place—prob. temple ruin. Atmosphere of beauty rather than horror. Subtle handling—presence revealed by faint sound or shadow. Landscape changes? Seen by child? Impossible to reach or identify locale again?

"There are the places you never forget. Places of magick, of serenity; places where you grow up, places, that make you what you are today. I spent the summer at my grandma's house near Miskatonic Valley. I was turning eight that fatal holiday, and for my birthday, my father gave me this camera obscura. I was over the moon.
We often lose sight of the fact that we cushion our lives with delusions in order to cope with the harshness of reality. Capturing the moment, it definitely is one of my favorite delusions. And reality has never been so grim.
That summer, I beheld more than most human beings ever get to lay eyes on. I've seen things you could never imagine without your mind exploding into a million pieces. That summer I'd become the...

MISKATONIC PAPARAZZO"

Gameplay: you, as the player, will gain control over little Howard on his trip to the Valley. You'll get to catch glimpse of the Great Old Ones: The Horned One , The Purple One, The Big One, and That Thing. You'll need to take photos of the lot. The better they're centered on the picture, the more they are in there, and if they're posing, the better. They might, however, attack you, and you'll have to jump away (time penalty otherwise). You have a set time of x minutes to take your pictures. Also beware of Edgar, the neighbor kid, who'll try to spoil your pictures by flashing his buttocks all over the place at the worst of times (score penalty).

Shouldn't be too hard.

Todo:
- engine code
- scene (must... be... beautiful!) -- check (not very ugly)
- Howard's animation -- dropped
- Great Old Ones and their pose and attack animations
- Edgar's animation
- surprise animations
- combo calculations
- evaluation and alternate endings (surprise)
- sounds and music

thanks.=) the library isn't yet released, some core functionality is still to be added (gamepads) or might change (sound mixer). But I really aim to get it done till the end of year.

Awesome! I love the sky gradient, reminds me of old 16-bit plaformers. The tree's sweet too!
