Just tried the demo and found combat very satisfying! My favourite parts being reflecting projectiles and using the boomerang on hordes (MMMMMM)! Having trouble with the cube thing right now so I'll have to come back to it! Great work!

Not as cool. But now, with new animations and too much screenshake. No plans for kickstarter. I do have to work on getting it greenlit though. Also, I'm really happy to see that people are finding different ways to enjoy the game, which is exactly what I intended.

Tons of animation work being done. I estimate over 200 frames were done for the new main character designs. I also did some work on subweapons and a lot of brainstorming on how they'll function. Brainstormed about a lot of the addons and even implemented some of them. And then the usual bugfixing / bugmaking. Recently I've been working on revamping the melee system. Things are going well so far. I've got a pretty solid idea of how many main weapons and sub weapons there are going to be.

I've always said the best defense is a a strong offense. I love that cape by the way.

So yeah as I said in my thread, I got to play this today - had to download and install the August 2008 Direct X at first - would be great if later on you could include this with the download just to make things a bit quicker! Anyway, onto the game itself. I'm getting it when you release haha! It is really, really fun - I thought it was just going to be a Zelda clone but this game really does stand on it's own feet with it's RPG elements and difficulty. I only completed up to the end of the tutorial, as you can imagine I'm really busy atm, but what I did play was awesome. That cube boss got the best of me until I switched back to the normal sword and equipped the fire modifier, then I beasted him Keep up the good work, I'll be back to play more later PS. Make it so you can destroy pots with Sword!

I also like the cape, and the amount of weapons looks great, too. F3 looks like the best shield to me (and yeah, I think I'd like them to be in, if you still are thinking about it). Also, have you considered an updated palette for the hero? Looks kinda weird to be Gameboy-esque green when the game looks more colorful in general.

Good color choice, and the variety of tiles improves the overall appearance

The background tiles seems more saturated than the characters. Not saying that every "rule" has to be followed, and there is no problem seeing the sprites against the BG, but they feel a bit like they belong to two different worlds. I still like the overall look of it, and the colors are more appealing than the old design to me (depends on how dark you want the game to be of course). Maybe there is a bit too much texture / noise going on though?

Old stuff is Link's Awakening limited colors (and sprites ), while the background is discovery of PS opacity and brushes, with many smudgy colors. I wonder how the zelda trees would look in this environment? Also smudgy with many colors/shades, or like originally with two colors and two shades?
