Hamster, Eagle Hunter
Co-op, 3D Action, Gauntlet.

Story: You are a Hamster, an Eagle Hunter. Battle your way up trees, past Beatles, Weasels, and Snakes. Using Nails as swords and 50p pieces as shields, until you defeat the Golden Eagle.

We're building the game with Unity, and plan to release for PC, Mac and Linux. We're also considering iPad and Android tablets.

I often feel the same way.  If I see an idea close to mine, and see something good about it, I always think, "Oh great, now I can't use that without feeling like a copycat."  There's no way to know if I'd ever have come up with the concept on my own after that.  That doesn't mean I *won't* use it, but I won't be nearly as happy about it compared to having had the idea myself.

Quick update:

The finished texture for Hadron.


We're in the process of rigging it. When that's done we'll pose it and paint a concept scene round it to help get a better idea of how potential viewpoints and camera angles will look.

Okun and the Magpie

This is the first image showing how the Hamsters interact with a post-human world.
This is something we're still considering, but we like the idea of the Hamsters using human items.
Some examples: A digital watch with with an backlight/illuminator would be used as a shield and light a path in dark places. A nail for a sword, or a syringe needle for a sword with lifesteal.

awww this looks so cool. i particularly like the "dramatic" / epic treatment of what could be just another cutesy animal concept. thats a surprisingly rare (and interesting!) atmosphere. sort of reminds me of secret of nimh.

what platforms are you considering? i checked the site, but couldnt find info on that.
