I just released a big new set of fantasy sprites that you might find useful (for prototyping or for a finished game) or just to check out. It includes animated heroes, monsters, dozens of environment sets, props, items, fx and more, all at 24x24 and in full color. Some mockups of the kinds of sets you can make are linked below. www.oryxdesignlab.comhttp://oryxdesignlab.com/sprites/16-bit-fantasy-sprite-setOryx

Those suckers at Realm of the Mad God sure may be glad because they can change graphics after all those years.

I guess these can't be used for a side scroller? are there only tiles for this top-down view?

I really like the 16-bit stuff. Are you going to do more of that in the future? Any chance of a 16-bit mega pack? I honestly don't think I have much use for the other stuff there, but further 16-bit stuff would be quite interesting. If I bought the 16-bit now, is there an upgrade price in the future to a larger set, if it becomes available? Have I asked too many questions?
Thanks in advance.

The characters, of course, would work, but the tiles are overhead / top-down view. You could fairly easily adapt the tiles to work with side-scrolling though, I reckon. This is some solid art, indeed. Nice colors and interesting map tiles.

You know, Oryx, I love your stuff but I'm seeing it everywhere so often that it's kind of driving me insane.

yeah, I got a bit over-exposed to the first set after Realm of the Mad God must be pretty cool for you though whenever you see a game using it
