I once played a demo of a 90s (point and click?) adventure game in the where your character was placed into a large hamster habitrail and had to outwit a pair (or more?) of giant killer hamsters. I seem to remember there being a lot of no-win states and deaths.

Here's an easier one for ya... at least, I think it will be.
An adventure game, like Kings Quest, set in the old west. 90s game or earlier.

I had the shareware version of this game years ago that I'd play with my brother alot, and all I could remember of it was that it was about some kid on a purple hoverboard with a gun, and something about bears. Not long ago, I posted on a thread similar to this on another forum and someone actually confirmed that it was called 'Cyril Cyberpunk'. I've rarely been so happy to discover the name of anything.
Of course, I managed to get my hands on the full version of the game not long after that... only to find that it was bugged and trying to save the player's progress didn't work.

Has anyone seen or played a one-button platformer about a flying dog? I seem to recall that you hit a button to cause the dog to flap his ears, and he would be moved around by jets of air and gravity. The person who showed it to me said it was created with people with disabilities in mind, but I'm not sure the details of it. I was just reminded of it because of the theme for Gamma 4. As I recall it was quite fun and challenging. Edit: Aha, the ever-resourceful Tim W has just informed me that the game is called Sky Puppy. It's second-to-last on this page if anyone's interested.

Back in the late 80's/early 90's I used to play this game at the OMSI computer section all the time. The computer was probably an apple of some sort, because the graphics were pretty high res for the time (i.e. better than 320x200). Then again it could have been a PC, I am not sure.
Anyways, the game:
You are a clown, in what appears to be an arena FILLED with all sorts of stuff you'd find in a carnival except most of them want to kill you now. All you have to defend yourself with is a stack of cream pies. Gameplay is top-down, run around like a madman and survive for as long as possible.

There was this PS2 game, featured on a PS2 demo disk that came with the Official Playstation Magazine, I remember. It was kind of cartoony but not in a childish way. It was a 3D platform game. The demo had a level where you surfed over lava on some planet with a hover board. In the platform demo level you destroyed boxes to get things out of them. (That probably wont be of much help...) If anyone remembers please reply.

The Dig? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XPWYpNxhXANope, although thanks for reminding me of the hilarious hamster ball monorail system in that game. :D 100% positive that it wasn't a LucasArts game. Pretty sure it wasn't one of the main Sierra "Quest" ones either. If I remember right, it was in a cartoony style with FMVs. The main character might have been kidnapped by aliens and shrunk down?

I had a game on the Amiga, and I can't remember anything at all about it, other than the fact that in one room, there was a giant ant (giant as in... takes up most of the screen).
Probably "It Came from the Desert" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It_Came_from_the_Desert
