I'm looking for the name of a 2.5D indie game - still in development - where you are a guy who spends a lot of time in the air, boosting from 'nodes' suspended in space, a lot like Chain Diver: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3eZSq_YRZIOnly a lot more colourful. I've seen it real recently, possibly on these boards, I just can't remember the name.

I know exactly what you're talking about, but I couldn't find it quickly. It's definitely been posted fairly recently on the Announcements board here, and it's also on either Kickstarter or 8-bit Funding.

A PC game from around 1997 or so. 3:rd person shooter where you run around inside a building. 2D sprites for everything but the environments, I think. Pretty sure you could chose between three characters. One of them might have been some kind of reptilian dinosaur guy. I seem to remember big, visible bullets.

some kind of FPS space/planet tank game for dos, flat shaded 3d graphics, really abstract shapes and things. I remember it had weird music and overall seemed very creepy to play, brutally difficult, I never understood it, eventually gave up on it, constantly dying and trying to collect little triangle/diamond shaped things for energy.

Sounds a bit like... Battlezone (1998), though it's not a DOS game.

The original Battlezone graphics had simple 3d objects displayed as meshes of green lines, but the 1998 one had high-detail (for the time) models and textures.

Ok this has been driving me nuts. I'm looking for a game where it is top-down and divided into squares. You try to run away from a monster, but for every 1 space you move he moves 2, so you have to be clever. Does anyone remember what it's called?

What? There's no reptilian dinosaur guy there. In fact I believe it has a pretty extensive character customization feature where you can select head/torso/legs and the color of each separately - all human though.

I guess I could have made it clearer that the game was in 3D.

I'm developing the concept for a project inspired by a game I played a long long time ago. I remember the game, but I can't remember the name and thus can't play it to refresh my memory. Can you help me track it down? Here's what I remember: You play on a board of hexes. Each turn you either place a hex of your color next to a hex you already control, or you can click an opponent's hex (if they are within one hex of you maybe?) causing that hex and any non-blank hexes adjacent to that one to change to your color. Play continues until one player rules the whole board. The boards had different layouts, including 'holes' where no one could play. I think the default color was purple for player 1. Being such a simple game I'm sure there are probably a million versions or variants of this, but I need names. Help! Many thanks

That's a very old game concept, with many varieties and versions over time. Cool Spot, for one. I'm pretty sure it predates computers, actually. Grid board, and reversible stones. So I wouldn't worry about stepping on any toes.
