Played it for a bit, here a some suggestions:
- show the mana costs next to the spell and maybe some indication of how much damage each spell deals
- hold down the mouse key should move the hero forward
- make it obvious that the 3 top slots are quickslots ( I did not notice till 3rd round)
- I notice that on level up I rarely get an +INT option for the mage in the demo, if it is totally random then maybe add a routine to grant an +INT option for every, lets say 10 other buttons revealed (if you get what I mean)
- I thought that the gold icon is more a level indicator?!
- can you sell items? how?
- health numbers are hard to read due to the color choices, why not position them on the bar instead of the small icons?
- if you pick something up for a slot that is not equipped yet you might want to show a small tooltip
- the exit down looks more like a trap
- it seems that chests often spawn right in front of the player, is that intended?
While all of those are minor complaints my biggest problems are:
1. The lightning does not really fit the gfx style in my opinion. I find it too blocky.
2. There is no map, yet? I get totally lost with all those corridors, maybe add more rooms in your regeneration routine.
That's it, keep it up and I will pick this up at google play store when its out!
