Hi, guys, I want to show my new game,  "Day of the Totems" (or something like that, I'm not decided yet).

It's a puzzle platformer, and I say "with a twist", because the player character is part of the puzzle, watch the gameplay video to get an idea:

As shown in the video, the objective is to complete the totem, by reuniting the different parts (I don't know if call them parts or pieces or something else), and getting to the exit.

Besides the difficulty of having to take into account the size of the character to solve the puzzles, I'm also adding some "gameplay modifiers", for example:

Switch

Portal

And I'm thinking in some more... any ideas accepted Grin

I'm ok with doing art and programming, but I'll still need someone to help me with music/fx, and I've seen that there are a lot of composers around here, so Im goig to send some PMs at you guys.

Whats missing:

- sound and fx (I already have placeholders working, and they are horrible  Giggle )
- levels and more levels (only 15 done, and I'm want to get over 60).. and playtesting them
- some story behind the game, nothing to complex, but may be some introduction
- a good title, at first I wanted to call it only "Totems" but its been already used, and is probably going to cause me copyright problems, as is a too much broad word, so for instance I am using the tmp title "The day of the Totems", and because of this the 3 locations are on the same place but in different parts of the day
- a game website mat be?
- releasing in stores (I'll go mobile with this one, though it wouldn't be to difficult to make a PC release, since I'm using Unity)

Any suggestions or ideas are welcome, I'll be uploading an alpha build to the Playtest threads, to get some feedback.

Cool concept, and the art looks great. I'm interested in doing music and audio for you.

Thanks for the interest, I'll make a list of all the music and FX needed and send some PMs.

This looks like it would be a lot of fun to play! The concept is really, really nice.

When totem blocks are combined together, is the player able to split them again? Or can the player only restart in this situation? Or is there maybe some kind of object that can split them?

Whoa, Its been a while.

Well, the game is "finished" and already released in the Amazon Store,  I'm wating for aproval in the AppStore, and I'm not sure I'll be able to publish it in the Google Play store since my country is not supported for Google Merchant accounts  Cry.

This is the official website:

Now I'm missing a good trailer, not sure if doing it myself or having someone to do it for me though.

I thought deeply about the possibility of allowing the player to split and join again, didn't come to terms of how to implement it though.

Hey, this game looks awesome. Will definitely be buying on IOS

If you don't mind, I made an upcoming thread for the game on Toucharcade, I know a lot of people there would be interested in a puzzle platformer like this
http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=3251895

Would be cool if you come by, talk about the game, maybe answer any questions that might pop up
