Description

So for my final semester of school we have to write a blogging system and part of the deal of creating it is we have to make a blog on some topic and post 3 times a week. I figured it would be a good kick in the butt to work more seriously on a side project I've been doing the last few months when I have spare time.

Anyways it's a primarily a graphical music vizualizer. The theme is a retro cyberspace.

Some of my influences for this include :

-Listening to Starforce
-Star Control 2
-Shadowrun (hence the name)
-Tumblr accounts that post interesting 3d gifs. I've actually made a reblog tumblr for this here: http://drugswillenhance.tumblr.com/

Development

One of the main reasons I'm doing this besides my school requirements is to focus on practicing with technologies I want to improve at. Mainly C/C++ coding and it's lower level media libraries. I'm also interested in procedural art.

This is written in c++ using OpenGL ES2 (I'm trying to stay as strict as possible), GLFW, GLM and FMOD.

Couple more.

This one is from a newer scene where you are supposed to fly through a cube of cubes.

This one is an equalizer, I've mostly been using it for debug purposes.
