Here is a little explanation as to what the Notebook and Craftnotes are and do:
Craftnotes are a common treasure that can be found in the ground itself or in treasure chests/crates. Reading these notes will reveal an item and how to craft it. You don't need craft notes to be able to craft these items, but they really help.
The Notebook is simply a way to view notes you have discovered previously. It also shows you how many you have discovered, and how many there are to disocver.

Beds and Sleep

To sleep is to skip the night and set your spawn point. Sleeping in Erth provides one thing most other games don't:
It speeds up time!
While you sleep, you see the whole world go really fast. The game updates until dawn. This is helpful to speed up processes like growing plants and other things requiring a lot of time.

I added a feature in which villages each have a TRUST value. You can either gain more trust, or lose the trust that the village starts with by doing the following BAD things:
- Breaking things
- Killing innocent animals
- Killing villagers
- Stealing

The starting village always starts with 100% trust. At 100%, the only thing you can do to lessen trust is killing animals like Sheep and Cows.

If you reach less than 50% trust, you are free to break things and kill villagers.  Big Laff

This reminds me of early 1990s Ultima. Just the look of everything besides the hero sprite.

Erth isn't nearly as contrasty as the original Ultima (from what I've seen anyways), although it does have the same perspective; a kind of top-down-but-not-really look. Thanks for the comment, though!

I've decided to finish the game soon.  Tongue
I'm working on more important games, so Erth was swept aside for a while. Now I've decided it deserves to be finished!

So here is a preview video:

And a random screeny of me testing:

I also created a ton of music for the game, as heard in the video. Smiley

+ Painting items, contains public domain 64x64 artwork!  Tongue
+ Matches, which allow you to light up the area for one turn.
+ Hand torch, a portable light, which only lasts for 15 turns.
+ You can now craft wood wall and sticks with Birch Wood, Deadwood and Evil Wood.
+ You can now craft copper and tin tools without an anvil, instead you can use a new stonebench.
+ Cave entrances are more common.
+ New Sleeping Bag, a kind of bed that doesn't reset your spawnpoint.
+ New Campfire, keeps you warm and bright during a night in the wilderness!
+ Crates and jugs can be found rarely on the surface now.
+ Tools now do some amount of damage to creatures.
+ Tiles all have their own walking noise.
+ More starting craftnotes.
+ Tool break noise.
+ More ambience sounds.
+ Craftnotes are less rare.

Oh, and here is a screenshot of a snowy hill:

300th Item!
Enchanted Backpack
Works like a portable chest. There are two backpacks, the Backpack and Enchanted Backpack. This one is 6x4 sized, the normal is 3x2.

You can also expand the size of your inventory now.

Here is another in-game shot of backpacks:

Here I have open an enchanted backpack, which is as you can see, as big as my inventory!

I have a normal one open here, but you can see that I have a total of 6 backpacks (as you can see in the corner), this is the maximum you can have. I have 5 normal and one enchanted.  Durr...?

The list of things I need to do before release is getting smaller and smaller! Soon will be time for testing.  Tongue

@_Madk - Thanks!

Anyways, I made some major additions to Erth recently:
+ New, stronger rare monsters
+ New super amazing alloy called Ocassus (Extremely hard to make!)
+ 3 new crafting addon types; Mechbench, Mixery and Alloy Smeltery!
+ Steel!
+ Drills that are powered by batteries, including the Steel, Titanium and Ocassus drills. (These are very endgame)

Here are some mechanical parts in crafting:

+Dynamic buff and debuff system! You can have any effect you can think of using a list of mini-scripts.

In this screenshot I have three buffs. You can tell how close a buff in the list is to being out of time by the alpha value of the icon.
