In addition, there is some risk of enteric myaisis, or intestinal larval infection. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and bloody diarrhea. Piophila casei larvae are very resistant to human stomach acid and can pass through the stomach alive, taking up residency for some period of time in the intestines and causing stomach lesions and other gastrointestinal problems. The larvae have powerful mouthhooks which can lacerate stomach linings or intestinal walls as the maggots attempt to bore through internal organs.

That is the single most disgusting thing I've ever heard about. Once when I was a kid, I flipped a roadkill badger over and... I can't stand maggots. A friend of mine that live in the country had a few cows, to clear a little area of weeds and bushes. A calf was born, and after birth flies laid eggs in it's wet fur. The larvae ate their way through the skin, and the animal was eaten alive. My friend was the one to notice it. He couldn't sleep for a long time afterwards No to something that actually is funny, the issues of japanese people: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SO5s7mlkmN0&feature=related

Because the larvae in the cheese can launch themselves for distances up to 15 centimetres (6 in) when disturbed,[5][8] diners hold their hands above the sandwich to prevent the maggots from leaping into their eyes.

:D Absolutely love the random Yu-Gi-Oh that pops up here and there in the first one! Are they made from lines from the actual anime? Gotta be a hell to find lines with the correct tone and tempo...

Yeah, seems to be samples from the anime. They would have sped up / pitch shifted them to fit to song though. Otherwise, yeah, way too hard.

The embarrassing part is that that probably matches Sega's definitions of "original" for Sonic.

Sega became stupid after they created Shadow the Hedgehog, not the game, the character. He's completely unneccesary.

Shadow works OK in the game they created him for. I have less problems with them creating characters for specific games, which apparently he initially was supposed to be, until they decided in favor of more money, you know? Also, on the subject of Sonic fan art, though not on DA, there is always Sonichu. You can look there too if you like. "Go out, Sonichu, and zap to the extreme!"

The embarrassing part is that that probably matches Sega's definitions of "original" for Sonic.
Sega became stupid after they created Shadow the Hedgehog, not the game, the character. He's completely unneccesary. It's kind of funny that they decided to include a "dark counterpart" to Sonic, when they already had one. Knuckles just got left completely by the wayside, which probably marked the inevitable decline. One thing that confuses me is that Sega thinks that to make Sonic games good these days, they have to have you shooting off at 300 billion miles per hour. If you play the original games, you see that there was nearly equal emphasis careful platforming and breakneck action. They need to stop wasting huge amounts of time on breakneck frenetic "speed" stages, and just learn how to moderate it and spread it out through the rest of the game. Another problem: what I've seen of all the 3D Sonic games is extremely linear gameplay. In the good Sonic games, there would be 4 or 5 "floors" to each level, which you could switch between as you went. They're currently just a big line from start to finish, where they should be a giant block that you can climb around on and explore properly. One more thing: Casino. Recent Sonic games have failed because they do not have casino levels. Sure, they can be annoying as fuck, but they also pretty much embody everything that made the early Sonic games awesome.

Of course, it's hard to criticize a series for altering gameplay, you could also argue that Zelda used to be about platforming (1 had some, 2 had a lot) and was still fun, so why change it? Even Metroid and Mario have made changes to their formulas (small ones) over the years. Also, I think one reason they created a new "dark counterpart" as you called him is that Knuckles was of course at that time a mainstay of the series. Thus, while he could conceivably have played Shadow's part in the story of SA2, he'd also have died at the end (by the way, Shadow dies ). Since the intention was not at first to bring back this character, since it rather makes the ending pointless. Obviously later games show that Sega has no qualms about reviving characters with no reason, but that doesn't mean they were willing to risk losing such a well known character. The fact that in doing so they made one of the most popular (by poll, not according to my opinion) and whiny characters of the series was a side-effect of this. Also, this theme of Sonic has gone on too long. I propose a derailment.
