This is a different topic from DREAM GAMES.

Post the weird and stupid games that exist only while you are asleep. I guess you may need to justify and extrapolate a little to describe them properly. That's okay. These probably aren't going to be games you actually want to build.

I'll get this started. From a dream I had last night:

Sausage Racers

I guess it was basically a cart racing game, where you could build your carts. The carts however were formed from organic components that were slotted together end-to-end, forming long sausage creatures.

The componants were:

• Legs, which the cart-creatures used to move.
• Heads, which the cart-creatures used to swear at each other.
• Arms, which were uesd by the cart-creatures to shove each other around.

Please see attached diagram.



The creatures would then race around a track. You would need to repair them, and put in new parts between races.

I had a dream about a super hero who had cancer that was jumping up a giant robot the other night. His powers seemed to fade because of the cancer, but he could absorb powers... weird.

That sausage animal game needs to be made for real.

My video game dreams tend to be rather abstract.  I remember one from the other night where I was hovering over a 3d fractal of pixels and lines and I had to fly around and change the colors of certain areas with the photoshop bucket tool.  I'm pretty sure it was in response to working on sprites for my compo entry.

I had this dream about a guy who had recurring amnesia (I kinda figure amnesia is pretty close to dying, so it freaks me out, that's probably why it was there), and eventually I think he melted into a bathtub. The dream ended with some random couple hugging while blood dripping from the ceiling was burning their flesh or something.

Plus, it all flowed like a comic book.

Now if someone made this into a game, it'd probably be the most terrifying thing ever.

I dreamt of a game that consisted of a beautifully rendered field of grass as far as the eye could see, and some unreachable mountains in the distance. The only thing in the field with you was a ridiculously massive tree that took forever (not really, just a long time) to run around. It was first-person, and you couldn't look up or down or do anything but run around in the field (which was perfectly flat). It was hailed as the greatest game ever.

I had a dream about a game where you couldn't die most of the time, but things that did kill you killed you in one hit. It seemed like a very good mechanic in the dream.

I dreamed of a cartoony racing game, in the vein of Mario Kart 64 (powerslides, boosts, power-ups, etc.). All of the characters ran on foot, though, and you were able to mix and match parts to make new people. I also remember at least one giant vertical loop. So, basically, I dreamed of an awesomer version of Sonic R. *shrugs*

I've dreamed in comics, too. It was weird, but cool; the art looked totally different from anything I would draw, and it was an autobiography about this kid who lived in a futuristic Inuit-ish society.

Kinda agree.. though the sausage cars scare me..

I had a dream that looked exactly like the world ishi is thinking of doing with 3d (the one without textures).
The game world was like a big theme park with rollercoaster rides and other crazy things, like a big faris wheel you could jump on top of and it would spin you around so you could reach higher places. It was basically about exploring the theme park.

I don't really dream much either. All my friends tell me about all their crazy dreams which seem to involve everyone they know in some Freudian way. I occasionally have dreams, and I distinctly remember that I was having a dream, but I can't really recall them in an even slightly specific manner.

I have dreamed (dreamt?) of quite a few games. Here's the ones I remember now:

-I saw a dream of a Dizzy 'RPG'. At first it was just normal Dizzy, but in some place there was also aworld map and a space ship introduced.

-Long long time ago, I saw a dream of a shooter. There was a boss you had to kill which had energy fields aound it, and there were also very very weird traps, like some killing seeds and such. And the bosses were monkeys. You controlled a basic green spaceship.
