Hello everyone! I am here to announce the second edition of the Game Boy Jam.

The GBJAM is a JAM were people will be developing games around the theme of GameBoy. To make this so great the rules are very loose and can be seen over on http://GBJAM.net

We are hoping to get a lot of participants. If you are not a programmer or you are a programmer, but not an artist head over to the forums on the site and go to the team up section where you can list your skills and past projects and than see if someone will decide that they want to team up with you.

This is a community project, and I have really tried to base it around that. The official dates for the JAM is over a 9 day period going from November 1st - November 10th.

We had a problem with it, unfortunately, as described here.

I was one of the entry's for the first Gameboy JAM. Shame I was too busy to enter this year, and even more of a shame for the first year entrants to be missing from the site. There were quite a few of mine that I enjoyed. Sad

For anyone who is interested, this was the game I was involved with in the first Gameboy Jam, Star Runner.

I ended up joining 6 hours before the end date, but had a blast none-the-less! Second year participating, and hope to see more of these. :D Also, what's up with this forum called the NES Jam? It's caught my eye and I need some more info!

My game, made with Ethan Holbert (graphics), is called "Battle". The name takes inspiration from super generic title "Adventure" for the Atari. The game is a simple RPG battle system where the player has to use the attack given to them (Fire, Water, or Lightning) to defeat elemental enemies. Attacks have different effects on each enemy, making it so the player has to strategically use the attacks in an order to make sure they can get rid of those enemies as fast as possible.

Congrats to everyone else who submitted a game, lots of interesting entries this time around.

I had a lot of fun working on my entry, and I'm still going to finish it. It's about a Tetris block who doesn't know where he fits into his world, so he goes on an adventure to fit in somewhere else. I at least got a demo in before midnight, but it might not run if you don't have the XNA runtime installed. I'll be fixing that sometime this week.
