Good luck everyone! I wish it was a different theme, but it's not like that'll stop me! Cool

I'm having a very plodding Ludum Dare. Things are happening, but not at any great pace.
My idea might also be more ambitious than I thought it was when I came up with it in terms of assets and actually making it enjoyable too. Hopefully I can plod through the core mechanics and annoying shit tonight and can convince myself tomorrow that finishing it is a valuable use of my time.

Thought about it some, and I'm pretty happy to do another day. And we'll see what else I can bring to the table. Thanks for the response PixelMonkey.

I'd say discuss it with them. If they're a good friend I'd expect them to understand if you have other things to do, or perhaps you can come up with a solution that gives you a bit more interesting stuff to do.

Anyways, I'm pretty happy with my time management for this LD, as that's normally one of my failings. I've managed to get all my mechanics, most of my tiles, a feasible plan for the rest of the game, and a little bit of level design all done in the first 24 hours!
Certainly a step up from the last couple of times I've done this.

Here is our entry for the Jam: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-28/?action=preview&uid=7388

It's called One More Bullet and it's a duel with typing-game mechanics.

Managed to finish my 48 hour entry! In Shine, you only get one source of light. You need to travel through the darkness, lighting your surroundings with the orb of light, but you need to be careful not to hit it into anything or it explodes.

I'll start rating entries after I get home from work.

Finished my jam entry. Just a heads up you'll need two people to play.

Here's ours:

TITAN SOULS

It's pretty tough, shadow of the colossus and dark souls as inspiration.

Wow. Everyone had time to make such great art? I spent most of my time coding, so I didn't have too much time to do the art. Though the level isn't really textured, I'm pretty happy with what I managed to come up with.

Public Mischief Performance

I simply wanted to make a humorous entry this time (rather than my usual incomprehensible experiments). I think I succeeded and people's initial reactions seem to agree.

I'm WojWorks over in the Ludum Dare site, and here is the link to my game, un-Equipped, a top-down shooter where you only have one bullet. There are 4 playable characters and 9 levels.

I just barely managed to finish my jam entry in time!

It's a first person adventure/visual novel created in Ren'Py.  I'm planning on polishing/expanding it after the holidays are over and releasing it officially.  I like it too much to waste!
