Vector game assets for a mobile game called 'Pocketz'. I wasn't allowed to use any fancy styles, transparency effects, or even holes in the shapes. Everything is a separate color shape made via pen tool.

Favorite pieces:

Pink set took four days, blue set took a week and a half. Process and more closeups here!

I only work with vectors because they're the best. (Illustrator)

What I use the most:

Pen tool
Smart guides
Pathfinder
Ctrl + D (repetition)
Symbol sprayer
Zigzag effect

Here's a picture from my blog

Reaaaallly love this

These look great Sved. I'd love to do a game some day with those kind of landscapes, they look so serene.

Meanwhile I did something simpler for a LD entry last year:

Also, this thread is amazing.

Started on some character graphics for an Android game I'm working on. I'm not entirely done yet, but here's what I have:

EDIT: Okay, for some reason linking to the image is randomly not working, so here's the url:

...and here's why I don't animate. A walk cycle I'm currently working on:

It'll display when the screen is scrolling at slow speeds, while on the ground (...obviously...)

Constructive criticism is highly appreciated!

Whoa, cool art.

Although the art looks a bit busy and hard to understand what is going on.

I used a vector artstyle for my second Ludum Dare, a while back (oh wow, almost a year already D:). I'm not fond of it per se but it was hella fun to animate !

More recently we had a school assignment about gradients and this happened

Thanks Mauricio, that's part of the reason why I'm overhauling the game (well that and it was made with AS2). Those screen shots are a few years old now I have ideas on how I can improve the overall look while still using the all the assets I worked so hard on.
