((Sorry guys, I've just been a little busy over the past few days. It certainly isn't going to die!))
Tolki borrows Xearius' sword to poke around in the fire, searching for some loot that might have dropped off the carcass of the Witch-Spider. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any.
Knutt shouts at Sigurd, but Sigurd doesn't really hear him over the sound his blood pumping in his ears! Also, Sigurd realises that what he thought was the key to the door was actually a mouldy old half-eaten fish. No wonder it wouldn't open! Andreas took the key off him earlier.
Xearius looks around for some more poison to put on his dagger. The spider's corpse is all burnt up, but there's still some poison splashed on the floor where Knutt threw it earlier. Xearius scrapes it up onto his knife. He then looks around for the person most in need of his healing potion. It seems like Sigurd is the most badly-injured among them, with only 9 HP remaining. However, Xearius is afraid that if he gives Sigurd the potion in his current state, he might just smash it and waste it. Fortunately, the berserker rage seems to be coming to an end.
Around that time, Snow Shard comes in, dragging the errant slave by the seat of his pants.
"Please!" cries the slave. "Let me go! Alright, I'll tell you! It's her, the girl! She's not really one of us, she's a monster in disguise! Let me go before she comes back and kills me!"
"She's dead." Vevera tells him.
"Oh." the slave says. "That's lucky. Shall we go, then?"
"Of course." Vevera nods, striding toward the Antechamber.
"Wait!" cries the slave. "You're going further in? You're mad! You don't stand a chance!"
Vevera looks unimpressed. Snow Shard lets the slave go and gives him a sardonic look. Unfortunately, it goes straight over his head, and he immediately flees back into the snow. He should be able to make it back to civilisation without much trouble.
Knutt has a sudden vision of the future. He sees Andreas using his key to unlock the gargoyle door, and the adventurers proceeding into the room beyond. In the vision, it appears to be some sort of circular elevator shaft leading down into the depths of the citadel.
