 It's not quite what I set out to make, but I've got something playable. =-=-=-=-= Original Post16 The walking dead—seemingly alive, but—.48 Cities wiped out by supernatural wrath.145 Horrible boarding house—closed door never opened.I wasn't going to enter this time, but inspired by Increpare's efforts, I'm making a last minute entry after all.  Anyone want to help? I could use some assistance with the graphics... or the music! |

I would love to help! I've got my own entry to take care of as well, but still.

Thanks man! My original idea for this wasn't coming together as well as I was hoping (it just wasn't fun to play as it was), so I'm scrapping a lot of it and taking it in a new, more traditional direction. I'm optimistic that I'll have something for the deadline as a result! |

So I'm basically finished, in that it's playable from start to finish but it's *really* rough around the edges at the moment. I should have it done within the next hour or two - or at the very least, it should be playable...

yeah  Well, I'm know I'm way past the deadline, but this afternoon I managed to work out the cause of the music/sound problems I had last night (it was something bizarre about not being able to make external function calls from the first room  Game Maker is kinda new to me.). I've finished the game off and uploaded it. Here it is... Never Opened (Contest Build)Unfortunately this falls way short of what I originally wanted to implement  Hopefully I'll have time to come back to it and polish it up a bit for a proper final release in the next few weeks. Here's a screenshot of the current version as it stands: |

I think the game's a little overlong at the moment, so I made a couple of very small changes - I've halved the amount of time it takes to get to the boss and halved the boss' HP. Hopefully it doesn't suck as much now! Or at least it should suck for less time than it used to! |
