Sound is required! I love all those kooky names Lovecraft came up with. I can just imagine HP in his gloomy victorian house making weird sounds with his throat and writing them down, snickering maniacally. I started this early, then gave up frustrated, then bumrushed the show this last week. I would have posted earler otherwise. My original plan was to have a more Cthulu-esque character, but deep booming voices, or alien guttural voices, were very hard to comprehend. The bird will understand a few simple words. He's not quite Dr. Sbaitso yet. There is no point to this game except, hopefully, a few chuckles.

Think I'll stop playing for a while, now. It seems obsessed with "Smaa-shatog-yaa"

The bird actually gets pretty easy to understand once you've been listening to the damn thing for hours and hours on end  Thanks for all the non-hateful comments. Confusion was the only card I had left after I lost hope in trying to make a legitimate game out of it. Wish I had time to add more conversation elements. It only understands a handful of keywords. I had some Eliza chatbot source code I wanted to integrate, and an idea for generating responses by feeding some Lovecraft stories through a markov chain thingy. But alas! |
